Commercial EV charging built around the site, not just the charger

EVC Group plans, designs, delivers and supports commercial EV infrastructure. From workplace AC charging to high-power fleet depots, we bring electrical, civil, software and operational requirements together in one accountable solution.

Charging infrastructure starts with the operating requirement

The right solution is shaped by who will charge, how long vehicles stay, how much energy they need and how the site is expected to grow. Starting with a charger quantity and power rating can create unnecessary capital cost, overloaded electrical infrastructure or a network that still fails to meet the operational need.

EVC Group develops the charging strategy around the site and its users. We assess demand, dwell time, electrical capacity, grid constraints, access, payment, civils and long-term operation before turning that information into a proportionate design and delivery plan.

AC, DC and high-power charging

Charging power should follow the use case. AC charging is often the most efficient choice where vehicles remain parked for several hours. DC rapid and high-power charging can be essential where vehicles need dependable energy within shorter operational windows.

Many commercial sites need a mixture. A fleet depot might use lower-power overnight charging for the majority of vehicles, supported by faster DC charging for turnaround, resilience or intensive routes. A public car park may combine longer-dwell destination charging with rapid charging for transient users.

EVC is hardware-agnostic and can evaluate the charging mix, connection strategy, distribution architecture, load management and phasing before hardware is fixed.

A complete project lifecycle

Feasibility and strategy

Desktop assessment, site survey, operational requirements, capacity review, grid strategy, concept design, budget development and phased delivery planning.

Design and pre-construction

Electrical and civil design, equipment selection, DNO or connection coordination, CDM planning, programme, permits, procurement and interface management.

Installation and commissioning

Electrical infrastructure, containment, cabling, civils, bay works, charger installation, software setup, testing, commissioning and structured handover.

Operation and support

CPMS integration, planned maintenance, remote triage, reactive response, condition audits, reporting, spares planning and lifecycle improvement.

Software, access and payment

A commercial charger is also a connected asset. The charge point management system can control access, tariffs, reimbursement, driver groups, utilisation data and remote diagnostics. The right platform depends on whether charging is provided to employees, fleets, tenants, visitors or the public.

EVC can define the software requirement alongside the physical infrastructure, reducing the risk of discovering late that the chosen hardware, payment method or operational process does not fit the project.

Future-ready without overbuilding

Future-proofing does not always mean installing maximum capacity on day one. It can mean protecting routes, allowing distribution space, designing civils for later bays, using load management and agreeing a phased plan tied to vehicle adoption.

This approach preserves options while keeping the first phase commercially proportionate. Where a grid upgrade, new point of connection or battery storage is justified, it can be developed as part of the same infrastructure strategy.

Direct delivery and installation partnerships

EVC works directly with organisations that need a complete commercial solution. We also deliver defined scopes for CPOs, hardware manufacturers, resellers, energy businesses, principal contractors and other EV solution providers.

The partner model can range from installation and commissioning through to full survey, design and project delivery. Roles, customer communication, reporting and brand ownership are agreed at the outset.

Why EVC Group

FAQs

Can EVC advise before we know how many chargers we need?

Yes. Early operational and capacity assessment is often the best place to start. EVC can develop the requirement and a phased plan before a final charger quantity is fixed.

Yes. EVC supports DC and high-power charging projects, including the associated electrical infrastructure, civils, connection strategy, commissioning and operational integration.

Usually, subject to technical and commercial review. EVC is hardware-agnostic and can assess whether the proposed equipment, software and interfaces meet the project requirement.

Yes. EVC can provide a defined delivery scope for partners and principal contractors, or manage a broader turnkey project where required.

What Our Customers Say

Sam Ryder
Great service and spotless installation
The installation itself went as smooth as possible, and everything was left neat and tidy. When installation day came, Asif, the installer, contacted us well in advance with an ETA that was stuck to. Overall, the help, guidance, and service received from Andrew was exceptional. We had experienced problem after problem with our energy supplier (So Energy, for anyone interested) and genuinely thought this install wouldn't happen, but the team delivered a great experience.

Excellent service. Andrew was in touch and went through the whole installation process with me.He was very helpfull, polite and very easy to get in touch with.I had a few small problems but this was resolved by Andrew, he kept in touch and let me know what he was doing to resolve this..The charger was fitted by Asif who messaged me to give me enough notice of his attendance, Asif went through the charging process and the app.
Amazing customer service and communication by Andrew, i would highly recommend. Amazing company

Great Service from start to Finish
EVC where very helpful throughout the process leading up to the installation, particularly in helping to resolve some of the challenges a 1930's house can introduce. The installer Oliver was very efficient and did an excellent job. Also EVC were easy to contact and quick to respond

I wish more traders were this professional
They know their work load and optimised their time beautifully. No mucking rounding from their end. I had medical situation with my dad and they organised around me without adding stress to my day. I couldn’t have asked for a more co operative and caring company. On top of that, the engineer was polite, caring and clean! He left my house and drive clean. He kept us up to date on what he was doing and gave us enough notice for when power would go off and how long for and then gave us a full explanation on how to start and use the EV charger.
Thank you for today and the effort you have put in to get my charger in. It’s much appreciated.

Excellent service. From the moment my Ohme charger was ordered Andrew was in touch and went through the whole installation process with me.
My charger was installed by Oliver who contacted me to give me notice of his attendance. The install went really well and Oliver explained the whole charging process and app. I would highly recommend.
Chris
A superb EV installation
An excellent, efficient OHME EV charger installation by EVC. Asif fitted the equipment and cabling very neatly. Chris did a brilliant job replacing the block paving after digging a trench. He made a fantastic effort in levelling, cleaning and re-sanding the paving so It looked better than before.
Both Chris and Asif were pleasant and trustworthy. The good communication throughout from Andrew was appreciated. I highly recommend them and EVC to potential customers.
Emma
Excellent and professional service. Good communication prior to the installation. Fitted the charger exactly where I wanted it and left the area tidy once completed.
Daisy
Excellent experience
I can’t fault EVC from start to finish the communication has been excellent. Ours was a tricky install spanning a long distance and across a path but Asif, our engineer, fitted the wiring neatly and worked all day in the rain to ensure the work was completed. Asif was professional and friendly and a credit to EVC.
The communication from Andrew throughout made sure I knew what would happen when. I highly recommend this company.
Steven
I’m a bit surprised at the earlier review as this has not been my experience at all. Both guys who showed up were both friendly and professional.
I’d have Chris and Ollie back in a heartbeat.
