Start with demand and dwell time
High power is not automatically the best answer. A hotel guest, office employee and retail customer use a car park differently. EVC uses expected dwell time and energy need to recommend AC, DC or a mixed charging offer.
For public-facing rapid charging, the business case should consider utilisation, energy cost, connection cost, operating fees, payment, parking rules and maintenance—not only charger revenue.

The site funds the infrastructure, controls the tariff and retains the commercial relationship, supported by a CPMS and maintenance arrangement.
Managed service
A specialist manages defined operational elements such as payment, customer support, monitoring or maintenance on the owner’s behalf.
CPO or funded model
A charge point operator funds or operates the assets under a commercial agreement. Availability depends on site attractiveness, expected utilisation and contract terms.
